Netflix is preparing a new TV series “Ozark” starring Jason Bateman in metro Atlanta.

Atlanta will be masquerading as the Ozarks in Missouri. Scoop OTP broke news that a Canton restaurant location is being used by Netflix as a major site for the show.  It also says the film will shoot in Duluth.

Formerly called the Little River Grill on Lake Allatoona, the restaurant is now being transformed for production.

According to EW, Bill Dubuque (“The Judge”) created the series, which delves into the world of drug-money laundering.

This is Netflix’s second series shot in metro Atlanta. The mystery drama “Stranger Things” starring Wynona Ryder is set to debut July 15. And a Netflix original Paul Rudd film “The Fundamentals of Caring” was shot here as well and will be out this Friday, June 24.

This is also Bateman’s second Netflix project after the revival of “Arrested Development” in 2013.

And Bateman, who was seen at a recent Braves game, has been a regular in Atlanta. He is also shooting “Office Christmas Party,” an ensemble romantic comedy shot locally. Over the years, he has been in town for “Horrible Bosses,” “Identity Thief” and “The Change Up.”

And this is the second TV series that is using Atlanta to pretend to be Missouri. ABC’s “Resurrection” (2014-15) was shot here but set in the fictional town of Arcadia, Mo.
