The middling, pointless remake of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” on Fox Thursday night did feature Adam Lambert taking Meatloaf’s “Bless My Soul” bike role.

He injects plenty of Lambert style life into the role. Let’s hope to see him in more musical roles like this in the future.

Bottom line: watch this video below, skip the rest. If you want to do the time warp again, catch the 1975 original.

Carrie Underwood accepted her CMT Artists of the Year award last night on CMT.

“Aw, man,” she said, smiling at her husband Mike Fisher in the audience. “I don’t know why I’m getting teary-eyed. I think it was seeing my little guy on the screens.”

Season 9 third place finisher Casey James is trying to fund his next album with a Kickstarter campaign. He is about halfway to his $30,000 goal. (Check it out here.)

He recently left Sony Music and is on his own. He discusses in detail the costs of recording a quality album, including renting a studio, paying a producer and musicians and post production, plus distribution. He said $30,000 is about 1/10th what he spent on his last album under Sony.

James wrote :

“All cards on the table and swallowing my pride, I will share with you that I’ve invested as much as I can afford to. Without being able to tour and bring in a paycheck, and having a wife and child to support, I have to leave enough money to pay the bills till things get going again. And I BELIEVE without reservation that this music can do that for me. I just need the initial push. So my hope is to raise enough money to cover the costs of the making of the record, as well as the physical copies, and if we are being very optimistic, some marketing and promotion for the new music. If I’m dreaming, I might as well dream big right?”

He’s offering several levels of support, including $500 for a clothing he wore on “American Idol.”

Clay Aiken’s recent visit to a Trump rally was for “The View.” He let supporters speak.  You can watch it here.

Aiken, a full-throated Hillary Clinton fan, came in second one season on “Celebrity Apprentice” and ran for a House office in 2014 and lost.

He was worried people wouldn’t be nice but he said they were gracious and willing to talk. He was very polite himself, no matter what they said. “Many are very afraid,” he told “The View.” “Many are afraid of things they shouldn’t be afraid of.”

Aiken said people are drawn to Trump’s strength and confidence. He said half the people there hate Clinton more than like Trump.

He thinks Trump just enjoys the adulation from his fans at these rallies.

“I played the same arena he was in when I toured with Kelly. They were playing video before he came out, and they had announcements and people cheering and chanting. I remember how fun it is to have that many people cheering for you, and have an arena full of noise shouting for you,” Aiken tells Billboard. “That’s all this is for him. He just loves having throngs of people. He actually said that night, ‘We broke all records for attendance at this arena,’ and while he was saying it, right above his head was a second tier full of empty seats.”
