So much pent-up resentment, so little time.
NeNe Leakes has come back to the show to settle a score with Porsha Williams.
She told Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live” before season 10 began that she would like to see Porsha and Phaedra Parks gone. Porsha – who ended up staying – naturally took that personally. Sure, NeNe didn’t technically say she wanted Porsha fired but the intention behind her words were clear. So it’s odd that she is fighting that impression so hard.
NeNe said she felt like years ago she had supported Porsha but Porsha didn’t pay it back. And now she says Porsha is badmouthing her. Somehow their friendship became frayed at some point. Honestly, I don’t remember any on-camera details if there were any. NeNe was off the show for awhile so perhaps their problems happened then.
So far this season, there’s been nothing but tension between Porsha and NeNe, first at Sheree’s party for her mom, then on this new trip to San Francisco that Sheree Whitfield created as a way to reward herself, a suggestion made by her life coach.
At the first meal in San Francisco, they quickly start going at each other over the same issues and soon they started cursing. Several of the other women, especially Marlo Hampton, keep them apart physically but the producers get to use the words “to be continued” for the second week in a row. Score!
Earlier, we saw the conclusion of the Kim Zolciak/Kenya Moore battle.
Kim is a Mama Bear when it comes to her kids. When Kenya accuses Kim of “pimping out” one of her daughters out for John Legend tickets, something Kim said in jest on social media, Kim loses it.
Her football playing husband, Marlo and Sheree Whitfield have to keep her from physically attacking Kenya. She does throw a drink at her and missed.
“Don’t mess with my money, my man or my kids,” Kim growls.
She doesn’t apologize for goading Kenya for no particular reason beyond getting a rise out of her. Sure, Kenya’s insults did fall on the side of insensitive, especially her use of “reassignment surgery,” which she repeated again tonight and caused a minor uproar on social media from transgenders and their supporters. But Kenya felt justified since Kim started it. (Nah-nah-nah-nah-nah…)
Kim later goes over to Porsha’s house and self-righteously says she wants to beat Kenya “into a motherf*****’ pulp.” (Yes, Kim’s penchant for cursing has never gone away.)
NeNe’s somewhat ironic conclusion: “This is some petty bull**** here.”
There were some minor story lines. Kenya’s grandmother died and she mourns. Cynthia Bailey continues to date but is happy her teen-age daughter had decided to stay in Atlanta instead of move to Charlotte for a guy. Kandi feels guilty about leaving her 18-month-old son Ace for work.
