How often does someone reject $500,000? Not often but Atlanta-based comic and actress Mo’Nique did.

She said on Instagram that she was offered a cool half million to tape a special for Netflix. But she was insulted because Amy Schumer was given $11 million and eventually negotiated $13 million when she found out Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle received a whopping $20 million each.

After told this amount is what she deserved by Netflix officials, she decided to call out Netflix publicly and call for a boycott of the service.

#BOYCOTT#NETFLIX FOR #COLORBIAS AND #GENDERBIAS. PLEASE STAND WITH ME. I LOVE US.

Mo’Nique back in 2015 said she had been “blackballed” by the industry and director Lee Daniels after her Oscar win several years ago for not campaigning aggressively enough. Her last major gig was part of the 2016 film “Almost Christmas.”
