TMZ reports that “Real Housewives of Atlanta” hubby Apollo Nida went ballistic in front of “Real Housewives” cameras with his wife Phaedra Parks over not placing funds in his prison account and didn’t report to federal prison by the U.S. Marshal’s deadline of noon, Wednesday, Sept. 10.
As of 4:30 p.m. EST, TMZ said he was “AWOL.” Earlier, TMZ also reported that there has been tension between Parks and Nida the past couple of months. He felt she hasn’t supported her, choosing to go on book tours instead, while she feels he is focused more on partying than spending time [More]

NeNe Leakes will be spending five weeks or so in New York City later this year to play the wicked stepmother Madame in the Broadway version of “Cinderella,” which concludes its run January 3, 2015.
She will take over for Sherri Shepherd on November 25, who begins Sept. 9. The revival debuted on Broadway early last year.
Directed by Mark Brokaw, the production brings to the Broadway stage for the first time the tuner that originally aired as a TV special in 1957, starring Oscar winner Julie Andrews. This Cinderella features a completely re-imagined book by Douglas Carter [More]

Is ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ testing two potential cast members Claudia Jordan and Demetria McKinney?
- 3:10 pm Sunday, August 10th, 2014 by Rodney Ho
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” has not changed cast members out since season five. Why should they? The show hit record ratings this past sixth season with the existing seven.
But producers know story lines get stale fast unless new blood is thrown into the mix. So they are reportedly testing out two potential new cast members for season seven, currently in production: Rickey Smiley‘s newest radio morning show host Claudia Jordan and “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” actress and singer Demetria McKinney.
UPDATE: I have heard from a good source that McKinney has signed a contract and will become a full-time cast [More]

“Real Housewives of Atlanta’ cast member Porsha Williams has landed a permanent regular gig on another TV show: syndicated pop culture show “Dish Nation.”
A few weeks ago, she signed on as a temporary fill-in cast member of Rickey Smiley’s portion of “Dish Nation,” which includes Smiley, Gary With Da Tea and HeadKrack. She has now parlayed that into a full-time gig.
Curiously, the regular morning show recently added Claudia Jordan, who replaced Ebony Steele. Jordan will not be part of “Dish Nation,” which is taped after the morning show at Smiley’s studios in downtown Atlanta from around 10 a.m. to [More]

Her “Mother’s Love” stage tour rider, which TMZ obtained, shows she likes her fast food but very particular fast food: Popeyes chicken – not Church’s or KFC. The rider, notes, “we know the difference.”
She also is very specific on the types of toilet paper (Cottonelle) and soap (Dove). Plus, she does not like her butt to meet those of others because she wants a new toilet seat at whatever venue she’s at. Ironically, she demands a police escort to events so she wouldn’t be late to her shows.
Her 29-city tour includes Columbus, Savannah and Albany. She debuted the [More]

As a follow-up to his eight-year federal prison sentence last week, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” husband Apollo Nida is required to pay back virtually all the money he stole through his various financial schemes to the tune of $1.9 million. The restitution hearing occurred this week.
I’m not sure if he’ll ever be able to pay all that back since his employment opportunities will be less than rosy once his term is up around 2022.
Once he’s free at age 43, he will have to give authorities in restitution at least $250 a month and 25% of gross monthly income in excess [More]

Apollo Nida, the husband of Phaedra Parks on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Tuesday received an eight-year sentence by a federal court judge for his four-year scheme involving bank, mail and wire fraud and ID theft of more than 50 individuals to the tune of an estimated $2 million.
He cooperated with authorities, which helped reduce his sentence.
Judge Charles Pannell, under sentencing guidelines, could have given him anywhere from 92 to 115 months. The government was okay with the lower end of those guidelines. Pannell went slightly above the 92 months partly because white collar criminals of his ilk tend [More]

Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker finally jumped the broom. And Mama Joyce didn’t stop it on tonight’s “Kandi’s Wedding,” taped in April.
“She didn’t really say nothing,” Kandi said during “Watch What Happens Live.” “She messed up a lot of pictures. But I feel as long as she didn’t start saying anything, I was okay.”
“I thought the energy was bad. But most people ignored it,” Todd said.
As for how life has been between Todd and Mama Joyce three months later:
“We’re taking it day by day,” Todd said.
The highlights from the episode:

I just got back from out of town and will keep this recap brief.
The wedding itself is ready to go and even Mama Joyce (however reluctantly) is even willing to give away Kandi Burruss.
But there’s that pesky pre-nup.
Being the woman who likes to do stuff ultralast second, Kandi thrusted the pre-nup on fiance Todd Tucker just two days before the big event.
For that, she should be sorry because anything this important, as Todd reasonably said, should have been done weeks earlier.
Kandi figured Todd would just sign it, no questions asked, because he has stated time and time again he [More]
